We all need a good, swift kick in the pants!

“If you could kick the person in the pants responsible for most of your trouble, you wouldn’t sit for a month.”

Do you agree or disagree with this quote?  Explain your answer by using a personal example.  If you disagree, do you also disagree regarding most of the people you know?

Impossible?!? I don’t think so!

Francis of Assisi said, “Start by doing what’s necessary; then do what’s possible; and suddenly you are doing the impossible.” Give an example that illustrates this point. How does this quote apply to your life? How is this quote particularly applicable to many who come to the OC for training? Be specific.

What is “normal” anyway?

Please discuss what this quote from James H. Omvig’s  “Freedom for the Blind” means to you.  “This word, ‘normal,’ together with the inference that blind people are not, comes up all too frequently in routine, human dialogue, and blind customers need to learn that they are OK.”

Think about the spirit of that quote.  Do you think blind people feel abnormal because of their blindness or are we just another cross section of society that feels abnormal given the situation? Explain why you believe either, or both.
